Pediatric Neuropsychologist
Julia Guerin, PhD, is a Pediatric Neuropsychologist and licensed psychologist in Pennsylvania. She specializes in the neuropsychological assessment of children, adolescents, and young adults with complex developmental and medical histories, particularly those struggling with attention, executive functioning, and academic learning. Her research and clinical training have focused on the cognitive and environmental factors that contribute to reading development, and she has published several papers on this topic. Dr. Guerin is passionate about helping families understand their child’s unique pattern of strengths and challenges, and providing comprehensive recommendations that help them meet their potential.
Dr. Guerin completed her PhD in Psychology at University of Cincinnati, followed by a predoctoral internship at Dell Children’s Medical Center and a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric neuropsychology at Children’s National Hospital. Dr. Guerin continues in her research of cognitive and environmental factors that contribute to reading development and is an expert in both the diagnosis and treatment of learning disabilities, such as dyslexia. Dr. Guerin is also an assistant professor at Chestnut Hill College, where she enjoys training and supervising clinical psychology doctoral students. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, traveling, and spending time at the Jersey Shore with family.
